Dear Yellow

Thankyou for never conforming to the worlds dull way of thinking. You add that little bit of brightness everyone needs in their life.

You are the one that lights up the room as soon as you walk in, blinding the rain clouds that slug around you.

Some people get scared to open themselves up to you as it’s scary being so bright. You cause heads to turn. Hearts to stop. And yet I don’t have a single item of you in my life.

Maybe I am one of the ones that are scared of your beauty too.

For yellow maybe if I had the confidence you did to shine through the dark clouds I wouldn’t be so sad all the time.

But for now, I’ll just keep taking these tablets waiting for my yellow to come along.
