Isolation was a place in school, the naughty kids would get sent. 

You talked back,
you spoke too loud,
you caused a ruckus ,
you got sent to isolation.

Left alone, not allowed to talk
it was supposed to be punishment. To make you think about your actions.
To cause you to change your behaviour.

I never went to isolation, so I only know about it from my brother,
who spent a lot of time in there.

But its funny now the tables have turned.

The world is being made to self-isolate, spend a lot of time with our thoughts.
And now my brother is the one allowed out.
Still going to work, and not confined to the four walls anymore.

It makes me wonder if the teachers will think twice now.
Using isolation as a constant punishment, when they themselves,
now know what it feels like.
